APRIL SALE DEADLINE

LAST CHANCE TO BOOK IN ADVANCE AND BEAT THE QUEUE!

The deadline for booking your tables and/or wristbands for Sunday in advance is this Thursday (31st) at 10pm.

BEAT THE QUEUE

The best way of minimising the amount of queueing is to book your wristbands by Thursday 31st. We are a membership based sale and we need to have your details on file in case of a disease outbreak. When you book in advance this is done automatically. When you pay on the day you will need to fill out paperwork on the door before gaining entry.

Advance booking means your wristbands and membership cards will be ready for you to collect and you can get in to the trade area to stock up on food & equipment any time from 9:30am. You will also get entry to the main sale hall at 10:45am, 15 mins before the main doors open.

Oh, and it's 20% cheaper as well.

-----------------------------------------------------------

Basic Covid-19 precautions will be in place, ie hand sanitiser stations & face masks will be available. We encourage everyone to observe social distancing and to wear face masks if possible.

If any Covid-19 rules are brought back in by the government then we will apply these as required.

THE WEBSITE WILL BE OPEN FOR BOOKINGS UP UNTIL 10PM THURSDAY 31st MARCH

If booking tables please see the 'Tables' plan first.

APRIL 3RD BOOKINGS

March 18, 2022

Bookings are now open for the sale on April 3rd.

Please note that this is a re-scheduled date which was originally due to take place on 20th March.

Before booking please check that you are not located in one of the Avian Influenza control zones. These can be viewed here.

If you are in one of these zones you cannot buy or sell birds at the sale.

REVISED DATE FOR NEXT SALE

January 25, 2022

Please be aware that our next sale, originally scheduled for March 20th has been moved back two weeks and will now take place on Sunday 3rd April.

Those of you who booked for our cancelled sale in January will have your bookings transferred over to the new April date. If you cannot make this date please contact us and we will issue you with a refund.

Bookings will open in due course and you can see further details by clicking the button below.

JANUARY SALE CANCELLED

January 8, 2022

Please be advised that the Cambridge Bird Sale scheduled for Sunday 30th January will now NOT be going ahead.

This decision has been made due to the current Covid-19 situation which has resulted in the venue reducing the capacity of the hall by 80%, meaning it is no longer possible to go ahead.

We are sorry to have to do this but it is probably for the best given the current climate.

For those of you who paid for your tables at the last sale, we will transfer your booking over to the next sale unless you contact us requesting a refund.

We hope to see you all at the next sale in March.

Stay safe everyone.

LATEST BIRD FLU INFORMATION

November 27, 2021

There are now multiple Avian Influenza (Bird Flu) control zones in the UK. Please check whether you live in one of these zones by viewing the map HERE.

If you DO live in one of these zones please be aware that you CANNOT bring any of your birds to sell, or buy birds and take them back home with you.

Please note that this map is updated regularly so please check it again before setting off on Sunday morning.

Additionally, wherever you live you cannot bring any of the following birds:

  • GALLIFORME birds: i.e. pheasants, partridge, QUAIL, chickens, turkey and guinea fowl.

  • ANSERIFORME birds: i.e. ducks, geese and swans.

  • POULTRY: i.e. all birds that are reared or kept in captivity for the production of meat or eggs for consumption, the production of other commercial products, for restocking supplies of game or for the purposes of any breeding programme for the production of these categories of birds.
Please note that for the purposes of these rules the definition of ‘poultry’ can include pigeons and other birds not traditionally known as poultry if they or their eggs are intended for human consumption.

We are still planning on going ahead with the sale but please check that you do not live in one of the disease control zones before bringing birds.

The only circumstances where we would have to cancel the sale is if Milton itself became a control zone or the licence was withdrawn completely.

NEW TRADE STAND CONFIRMED

November 16, 2021

As some of you will be aware our original sale sponsor James Bavister is looking to retire from the bird trade and is no longer able to commit to attending our Cambridge sale. We would like to take this opportunity to thank James and Bavister's Pet Centre for supporting us and helping to get the sale off the ground back in January 2020. We wish James well with his future endeavours.

Stepping in to the breach at short notice is Essex Bird Centre who will be our main trade stand on 28th November. Jackie and her team will be supplying a wide range of products including various bird foods, equipment, livefood, frozen insects, supplements etc.

You can see the full range on their website by clicking the button below and you can pre-book products for collection on the day.
