PARKING

May 22, 2024

𝐏𝐀𝐑𝐊𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐋𝐈𝐊𝐄 𝐀𝐍 𝐈𝐃𝐈𝐎𝐓?

At recent sales we have had a number of complaints from residents that people are parking irresponsibly along Coles Road when the car park is full. 𝐒𝐨 𝐦𝐮𝐜𝐡 𝐬𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐰𝐞 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐡𝐚𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐢𝐧𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐥𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐥'𝐬 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐞𝐧𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐜𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐝𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐧𝐞𝐱𝐭 𝐬𝐚𝐥𝐞 𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐬 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞. This means that if you park in front of someone's driveway, on a dropped curb or anywhere else you shouldn't be, then there may be consequences. Local residents have also been informed how to report any vehicle which is causing a problem.

The car park at the Milton Community Centre does cater for a lot of cars, but once it's full you may need to park elsewhere. If you want a parking space close to the venue then you need to arrive really early. If the car park is full then please allow extra time to find a suitable parking space and to walk to the venue.

There is extra parking available at Milton Country Park (CB24 6AZ) which is just a short 300m/3min walk to the venue down the footpath alongside Todd's Pit (the lake). They do charge for parking but it will be much less than a parking ticket or wheel clamp could cost you.

Alternatively Tesco is a 600m/6min walk up the road.

PRICING CHANGES & EARLIER ENTRY

AUGUST 16, 2023

STARTING WITH OUR NEXT SALE ON 24th SEPTEMBER 2023 THERE ARE A COUPLE OF MINOR CHANGES.

So far we haven't increased prices since we began the sale three and a half years ago back in January 2020. However, during this time the cost of the venue has increased three times, as well as other costs associated with running the sale. Up until now we have covered this by gradually increasing the numbers of tables sold and people through the door. Now that we are generally at full capacity for both it is no longer possible to absorb these increases just by increasing the number of 'bums on seats'.

Therefore we are no longer able to apply the 20% discount for booking tables and wristbands in advance.

(Tables will now be full price at £10ea and advance wristbands £5ea)

In compensation for this we will now be opening the doors for all advance wristband bookings at 10:30am instead of 10:45am. We trialled this at the last sale and it worked really well, giving everyone who books in advance a more realistic amount of time to get around the sale hall before it gets really busy at 11am.

Those of you who paid us in cash at the last sale have avoided this price increase and will not need to pay any extra to top up.

The price of pay-on-door wristbands will remain at £5.

Bookings are now open and you can book by clicking the button below:

NEW TRADE STAND CONFIRMED

November 16, 2021

As some of you will be aware our original sale sponsor James Bavister is looking to retire from the bird trade and is no longer able to commit to attending our Cambridge sale. We would like to take this opportunity to thank James and Bavister's Pet Centre for supporting us and helping to get the sale off the ground back in January 2020. We wish James well with his future endeavours.

Stepping in to the breach at short notice is Essex Bird Centre who will be our main trade stand on 28th November. Jackie and her team will be supplying a wide range of products including various bird foods, equipment, livefood, frozen insects, supplements etc.

You can see the full range on their website by clicking the button below and you can pre-book products for collection on the day.
